Once you get past a certain age, learning a new language is a life long journey. I began by reading the newspaper, and recording each word that I did not recognize. These are the words that comprise the database. I would then quiz myself on all of my new words.

The best way to use the tutor is pick a date and drill yourself on that particular date. Even if you don't know the words, don't get frustrated. Just keep cycling through the words until you know them all. The tutor will alternate between asking you to translate from portuguese to english and vice versa. I normally would drill myself until I would get my accuracy to 90%. This usually takes about 30 minutes. I hope this tutor helps you as much as it helped me.
